We have convened a host of African centred martial arts and well being groups to provide the community with the opportunity to interactively participate in workshops and discussions.
We have a variety of relaxing and dynamic martial arts workshops including: Mashufaa, Caribbean Kalinda (stick defence) and Kemetian Yoga.
Learn more about: health, beauty, fitness, skin care, hair, body enhancing, weight loss, sex, diet and nutrition advice, sports massage, reflexology, self defence and much more. A variety of stall holders and wholesome food and refreshment.
The conference
aims to:
· Highlight that there is a variety of African centre martial arts which are all non aggressive and all about developing self-confidence and determination.
· How to easily incorporate a healthy way of living in to a busy lifestyle. Skills that can be used in every day life.
· Integrate businesses to the programme of martial arts to create a self- sustaining self fuelling economic platform.
· Develop leadership skills via tailored workshops that will focus on career preparation; leadership development and mentors/role models.

Keynote speaker: Kilindi Iyi (Ta-Merrian Institute in Detroit)
Kilindi Iyi is
the founder of the Ta-Merrian Institute in Detroit. For over thirty years
this educational institution has been dedicated to the study and
preservation of African martial art (e.g. Zulu izinduku, a dance using two
sticks derived from the movements of traditional South African spear and
shield combat) and related traditions such as dance and drumming. Beyond
his reputation as a performer and martial artist, Iyi is a noted teacher,
and lecturer on African history, philosophy, religion, and art both in the
United States and abroad.
